Great work mate. The sinew debate. No my friend I have used plenty of sinew. Sinew will disentigrade with the least amount of water. Strong believer that more plant fiber was utiled than we realize. Far less energy to collect than sinew. When good cordage plants not available yes sinew. Sinew constricts draws up to tighten as it dries. But it needs to then stay dry. Tree sap , animal blood and even the dew on the grass will ruin it. So just opinions here use what you have and really pitch the sinew. A second opinion would be I dont think we give glue enough credit. Hide glue is incredible. Now if we really want to complete the saga work that tool. That is where we learn to tighten and repair and yes replace. They must have known the ideal woods to use , the cordage and the pitch. Naturally passed on knowledge
Thanks for Sharing
Thanks, love using tings that are readily available and not cost a fortune. Great video and great ideas
I have wrens nesting in my pots as well right now. It’s neat. What’s the song called? It’s relaxing
A quick parameter alarm i was considering on doing sometime is more for defense against bears and such. I was thinking sharpening a few spears and sticking them into the ground pointing away from the opening of a tent in case a bear tries to come into the front of a tent if it does the spears should stop it if they are dug into the ground deep enough to hold a bears weight. It would be even better if you place them all around the tent just in case. As bonus points your camp will look medieval and keep most intruders at bay
Both are very useful great video buddy.
I didn't think I would like your alarm but you are clever that goes a long way with me smart guy , pretty Kool for a soda can
Thank you!
Great video Sir 👍this will work against everything except Rampaging Sasquatches 👍
I have a channel, and I never ask people to AUTOMATICALLY click (SMASH, i.e. millennial terminology for click) the Subscribe button. I let people make their personal decisions.
We can all say that we do this for bears, varmints, and people, and such, but we all know why we really do it... the big man... with the big feets! Possibly also for dogs that walk upright! I'm just saying is all.
YUP 👣
I like em! They are simple, cheap, mostly made from stuff in the woods, and can be tweaked as needed. That second one would make some hellacious noise with some cans! Or even some spare tent stakes if you have any with you. Or an empty water bottle or nalgene bottle. A stick smacking one of those would be pretty loud. You could also try to pick some good dry sticks and remove the bark to help maximize that hollow clacking sound that dry wood makes when hit together. There's just so many different things you could do with that second one if you needed to.
Great video
Party poppers work great for a setup like this.
HI
He mis tied the Prussic knot. He showed only 2 loops and then he shows the knot slipping on the cross rope. Three loops are required for enough friction to no longer slip. His little piece of rope was the issue, it needed to be a bit longer.
Great video
Initially, I was wondering what the heck you were faffing about with. However, after seeing it in action it's pretty ingenious. Well done indeed. Very creative my man
Great ideas. Will definitely use them!👍👍👍
Just a thought. Take a direct housingfrom a 700 R 4 with shaft still I'm it. Hold shaft and hit the housing with a metal object. Cover ears first though. ( the sky's the limit ). 4L 60 / 70 has same housing for clutch's and steels. Just disassemble them. Transmission shops shouldhavea ton of these. These are Transmissions out of GM PRODUCTS
Thank you for these pretty much free and very effective ideas brother. God bless
In-con-spic-u-ouis~! lol Aren't you supposed to be filming an episode of American Pickers and looking for old oil cans?
Great ideas Thanks
👍
In West Virginia, it is the whatever that you need to be worried about - Bigfoot.
Clever use of regular objects.
Great video! I think that I will put 3-4 Christmas bells on the tension rope to make a louder sound.
Super informative, and cost nothing to make, I like them a LOT.
Grate video I learned something neat for camping with my wife makes me feel good at night when I can hear something coming
Thanks
Excellent!
THANKS
KISS methodology. I like that you showed taking the time to set it properly and the adjustments you made to get it right. So many video makers only show the success, not how long it actually takes to do it correctly. Thank you and keep it up!
Good information. Your designs allow for variation and adaptation. I will be checking out some of your other videos.
Good job
I like your alarms, I’m like you paint some drink cans, and a flat black to hang on your second one create more noise. Also, enjoy hearing from a light Christian that does videos and specially survival situation out in the woods and enjoyed your video.
I have had a Sasquatch riding a Kodiak bear coming to my camp before
You are one lucky dude! I bet all of the footage is blurry.
Good techniques 😊
Maybe use old propane bottle on last one cut top
Good video and nice delivery, thanks for sharing. Eric, NH
The penny was a great find Mr. B
Thanks!
Awesome finds stay blessed
Figured bats would be in those holes, sure is amazing to see! I was hoping you would come across some native artifacts. Could that 22 shell, be as old as the IH penny 1880's, old hunter maybe! Too many settlers came through, without no one not being there.Hard tell what you might find. Something how the flood carved those cliffs out! God Bless you, (Glen). WV.
22 mag was introduced in 1959 by Winchester. Probably more in line with the musket ball I found just around the hill from there.
Congratulations on the coin & trap. Cool exploration
Thank you!
I love those overhangs. It's pretty flat from where I'm around. So I don't have anything like that that is so cool. I definitely hang out or cap up a nose for sure
Dude that is sweet. Very old for sure.
Yea, I guess maybe that musket ball I found is around the same time period.
Living my dream lol i just bought a mini bike now i gotta find trails in wisconsin that i can do this
Awesome, be safe and enjoy!
I've never seen them eaten that way. May have to try that.
Yea, bring some seasoning
I prefer smaller channels like yourself versus the Rockstar channels.
Thanks, I don't expect to ever make it big, I just enjoy creating videos and talking to other people with the same interests.
Very cool!!! My brother in Christ.
Thank you!
@@CODOutdoors I'm in the upper panhandle of Idaho and spend most of my time alone while ruttin around in the mountains here along with the Grizzlies, a good camp perimeter alarm could literally save your life, great for easy peace of mind to focus on other things.
@jonwhite1479 Grizzlies 😬, we just have black bears and a lot of coyotes. I also enjoy the quiet times alone in God's beautiful creation!
@@CODOutdoors I agree the beauty of creation and being in it is the best part.
Good one Jody. I love those old rock formations. One of my favorite places to play when I was a kid.
